The first day of IWOMP 2012 is a tutorial day. Through presentations and demos both current and prospective OpenMP users will have the opportunity to learn more about the language proper, as well as get exposed to various activities in the OpenMP tools area.

The morning session will be devoted to a practical overview of the most recent release of OpenMP, presented by Ruud van der Pas (Senior Staff Engineer, Oracle). Although we primarily target those new to OpenMP we think more advanced users will also find this tutorial to be of interest.

The afternoon session focuses on tools for OpenMP. This part of the tutorial is now open to submission of a proposal to present a relevant tool. We encourage you to submit an abstract for review. This abstract should not exceed 4 pages. In case your proposal is accepted, please be prepared to include a demo.
